Edip Hakkı Köseoğlu
Edip Hakkı Köseoğlu (1904-1990)
He was born in İstanbul in 1904. After completing his primary and secondary education at Kadıköy High school, he entered the Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi-i Alisi and graduated from İbrahim Çallı’s studio in 1927. Exam success that same year allowed him to go to Paris. On his return, he was appointed to the Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi-i Alisi. The artist was a member of the Independent Painters’ Association, and was sent to Anatolia by the Public Institutions General Headquarters in 1940, returning with a number of successful works in his portfolio.
The artist was a real impressionist, participated in various mixed exhibitions and attracted great attention. His works can be seen in private collections and at the Painting and Sculpture museums. He passed away in 1990.
