HAIRPIN EMBROIDERY
The
material used in hairpin embroideries is also cotton thread. The very latest
examples, however, are made out of synthetic threads. The threads are passed
through the two edges of the hairpin, and the embroidery is done by binding them
on the middle using a hooked needle. There
are examples of hairpin embroideries made by adding caterpillars, beads and
sequins to the edge of the fabric based on the width of hairpin. The part to be
stitched is made of thread chains and prepared separately.
