Halva
with Cream (Hoşmerim)
Ingredients | Measure | Amount |
Whipping cream | 1 1/2 cup | 300 gr |
Milk | 1 cup | 200 gr |
Flour | 2 3/4 cup | 300 gr |
Margarine | 1/2 cup | 100 gr |
Sugar | 1/2 cup | 90 gr |
Preparation
Combine cream
and milk in a saucepan. Blend thoroughly over low heat stirring constantly.
Stir in flour gradually mixing well. Cook over low heat for 20 minutes stirring
constantly again. Stir in melted butter blending well. Remove from heat. Spread
into a round baking dish. Bake in a moderate oven until light brown. Remove
from oven. Sprinkle with sugar while still hot. Cut into 6 wedges. Cover and
let stand until sugar melts and serve warm.
