Kebab (Tas Kebabı)

Onion | 2 medium size | 150 gr |
Boneles lamb shoulder or shank | - - | 750 gr |
Tomato paste | 2 tablespoon | 20 gr |
Water (warm) | 1 1/2 cup | 300 gr |
Salt | 2 teaspoon | 12 gr |
Black Pepper | 1/4 teaspoon | 0.5 gr |
Potato | 6 medium size | 650 gr |
Preparation
Cut meat into
2 cm (3/4 inch) cubes. Combine with chopped onions. Cover and saute over low
heat for 40 minutes stirring occasionally, add tomato paste, water, salt and
pepper; stir. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until meat is tender. Pare
and cut potatoes into 1 1/2 cm (2/3 inch) cubes. Add to meat; mixing gently.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve hot

most popular dishes. When serving, the meat is placed into a bowl. Rice pilaf
is arranged on a serving plate in ring form. Bowl of meat is turned up-side
down in the center of rice. It is served for lunch or supper as a main dish.
Sarma or dolma with olive oil is usually served as a side dish.
