Forest Kebab (Orman Kebabı)

Boneless lamb shoulder or leg | - - | 1 kg |
Onion | 3 large size | 280 gr |
Carrot | 2 medium size | 200 gr |
Potatoe | 4 medium size | 400 gr |
Tomatoe | 2 medium size | 250 gr |
Green peas | 1/4 cup | 35 gr |
Salt | 1 1/2 teaspoon | 9 gr |
Black Pepper | 1/2 teaspoon | 1 gr |
Water (warm) | 1 cup | 200 gr |
Thyme | 1 teaspoon | 0.7 gr |
Preparation
Cut meat into
2 cm (3/4 inch) cubes. Place in a saucepan with chopped onions. Cover and saute
over low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally; drain. Cut pared and peeled
vegetables into 2 cm (3/4 inch) cubes. Combine with green peas. Stir in meat.
Season with salt and pepper. Add water. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Sprinkle
with thyme before serving. Serve hot.
