APRICOTS
SUPREME (Sultan Tatlısı)

Ib dried Turkish apricots
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1
cup whipped or hard cream
Wash
and boil apricots with the sugar and lemon juice until they are tender.
There
should be half a cup of heavy syrup left when it is done well. Remove the apricots
and fill each one with hard cream or well-beaten whipping cream, refrigerate and
serve on top of a slice of pound cake if you so desire or serve just as it is.
It's what the Turkish Sultan ate in between meals following the meals or at breakfast.
